Job Description
SUMMARY The Logistician III supports a government agency by integrating logistics processes in operational, acquisition, and wholesale environments. Responsibilities include directing the logistics process, developing support policies and procedures, and providing implementation guidance. Responsible for establishing and maintaining warehouse operations, inventory controls, asset accountability, storage, material flow, and logistics documentation.
Prepares and enforces directives for effective logistics support and ensure proper training and equipment for the workforce. Manages all logistics actions related to the life cycle management of network systems, subsystems, and equipment. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Strong organization skills and attention to detail required. Experience in Government contracting preferred. Management experience preferred. Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements. Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and property accountability preferred. Experience setting up storage locations, inventory controls, and logistics tracking systems preferred. Experience with logistics documentation, reporting, and metrics preferred. Experience with inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits preferred. Experience with GFP, CAP, or customer-owned property preferred.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains and develops positive business relationships with key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, logistics activity. Develops an understanding of customers' needs and ensures that needs are met. Implements plans for logistics management of materials and labor for project execution. Manages the procurement of equipment with various approved vendors. Manages the receipt of equipment via established tracking systems. Analyzes logistics performance and compares against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements. Manages availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products. Manages the movement of goods to maximize value and minimize costs. Develops tracking system(s) for materials and property management. Collaborates with other departments to meet customer requirements in the case of shortages, minimizing negative impacts on business. Reports project plans, progress, and results. Ensures rational distribution and delivery according to analysis reports and tracking records. Develops and implements technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices. Assists in the disposal of systems. May train junior personnel. Establish and maintain warehouse operations, storage, and inventory control processes. Develop warehouse layouts, storage plans, and labeling standards. Support warehouse stand-up, including layout, shelving, organization, and procedures. Create and improve SOPs, work instructions, and warehouse procedures. Receive, inspect, store, issue, transfer, and dispose of materials. Maintain accountability of government and customer property. Conduct inventories, cycle counts, and audits. Resolve inventory discrepancies and tracking issues. Regularly drives assigned delivery vehicles, maintains them through operator-level maintenance, and coordinates higher levels of maintenance through the rental company. Ensures continuity and approval of ODC purchases through Contracting Officer Representative. Ensures continuity and approval of unbillable transactions through the CNI Program Manager. Develop metrics, reports, and status updates. Analyze inventory, utilization, and logistics performance. Identify and implement process improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to five (4-5) years relevant experience in integrated logistics support, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Regularly utilizes pallet jacks and forklifts. Utilizes ladders, stairs, and shelving systems. May require the use of hand tools and electric tools to assemble warehouse shelving. Ability to speak and hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Works near moving mechanical parts. Regularly exposed to general office and general office machinery noise. May be exposed to warehouse, truck or forklift noise.
