Summary:
This role provides analytical and operational support for all shipping responsibilities at the Phoenix site. The role ensures the efficient flow of materials into the facility and outbound shipments to customers by coordinating carriers, preparing shipping documentation, maintaining schedules, analyzing shipping data, and communicating with internal teams, customers, and logistics providers.
Responsibilities:
Support daily shipping operations for the Phoenix site, including inbound, outbound, domestic, and international shipments. Determine the most efficient shipping methods based on delivery urgency, service levels, cost, and carrier performance. Prepare, adjust, and communicate inbound delivery schedules to align with warehouse capacity and receiving operations. Coordinate outbound shipment pickups with freight carriers and logistics providers. Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, labels, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs documents. Perform inbound load planning to prevent dock congestion, delays, and capacity issues. Coordinate shipment timing with Materials, Warehouse, Production, and carriers; communicate schedule changes as needed. Follow customer shipping instructions and freight forwarding requirements listed on sales orders. Build strong relationships with customers and carriers to understand shipping requirements and service expectations. Maintain accurate shipment records, status updates, and logistics data. Prepare shipping reports, KPI metrics, and documentation for management as required. Track shipments, troubleshoot delays or delivery issues, and provide proof of delivery confirmations. Support continuous improvement initiatives within shipping and receiving operations. Demonstrate understanding of hazardous material shipping requirements and applicable regulations. Assist in developing and improving shipping and receiving procedures, work instructions, and processes. Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
1 to 3+ years shipping, logistics, supply chain, or related experience. Manufacturing experience preferred Experience with domestic and international shipping preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of freight forwarding terms and carrier operations. Knowledge of shipping documentation, customs processes, and hazardous material shipping requirements preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills. Positive and professional attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office preferred.
