Job Description

  • Summary/Objective:
  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Supply Chain Assistant to support our Senior Supply Chain Manager in day-to-day operations across our manufacturing facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment and grow within a dynamic operations team. As the role develops, there is opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement within the supply chain and operations team.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Inventory Management Review the planned material requirements report to monitor on-hand inventory levels, projected consumption, and anticipated shortages Flag materials approaching negative inventory levels to the Sr. Manager to support timely purchasing decisions Use report data to assist in determining when purchase orders need to be created or expedited
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination
  • Assist in managing routine supplier inquiries, order follow-ups, and basic issue resolution under the direction of the Sr.
Manager Help process and track purchase orders from creation through delivery confirmation Monitor inbound shipment status and assist in communicating delays or changes to relevant internal teams Support supplier communication efforts to help ensure on-time delivery (OTD), following up on open orders and escalating concerns to the Sr. Manager as needed Help serve as a communication link between suppliers and internal teams — including production, warehouse, and customer service — to support material flow alignment Assist in onboarding new vendors by collecting documentation and setting up supplier records in M1 Help maintain and update the approved vendor list and supplier contact database Assist in scheduling supplier meetings, calls, and performance reviews Assist in gathering data for supplier scorecard tracking across metrics such as quality, delivery, and responsiveness, and help summarize findings for the Sr. Manager's review Help stage, package, and prepare parts and materials to support timely driver dispatch and outbound shipments
  • Qualifications/Competencies:
  • High school diploma or GED required Must be computer proficient and comfortable learning new software and systems quickly Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

The employee frequentlyis required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and dust.
  • Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is an hourly non-exempt position, and minimum hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
