Description The Sr Data Analyst, Strategic Planning will independently collect, cleanse, analyze, and model large datasets to support data‑driven decision‑making in parts inventory management. This role is responsible for developing predictive models, optimizing system parameters, and generating insights that directly influence key supply chain outcomes, including Purchase Order performance, Fill Rate, Back Order reduction, and inventory (MOS) targets. The Sr Data Analyst will lead complex analyses and process improvement initiatives, leveraging tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI. They will also develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and standardized reporting to support management, executive stakeholders, and operational teams. In addition, the Sr Data Analyst will collaborate with the Supply Department to design and refine the global forecasting and replenishment logic used in enterprise systems. Data integrity, system optimization, and process automation are critical expectations for this role, as the outputs directly impact freight and warehousing cost, parts sales revenue, and overall customer satisfaction. Key Accountabilities 1. Advanced Data Analysis, Forecasting & Modeling
  • 40% Execute complex ad‑hoc analyses, develop predictive models, and optimize system parameters to improve demand forecasting, supply planning, and expediting. Serve as a system "super user," managing advanced configuration settings that drive replenishment strategies. 2. Process, Data Pipeline & System Optimization
  • 20% Design and implement analytical process improvements, automation scripts, data flows, and system enhancements to increase forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency. 3. KPI Development, Visualization & Reporting
  • 20% Build and maintain dashboards, automated reporting pipelines, and analytics packages to communicate performance against KPIs to internal/external teams and executive leadership. 4. Training, Documentation & Knowledge Management
  • 10% Develop training programs, analytical standards, and documentation to strengthen organizational analytical capabilities and consistency across the Supply Team. 5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • 5% Partner with customers, vendors, and internal departments to gather requirements, support analytics needs, and drive improvements based on data insights. 6. SOP Development & Compliance
  • 5% Document and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); collaborate with leadership to audit adherence and enhance data/process governance.
Key Performance Indicators Responsiveness and accuracy in fulfilling ad‑hoc analysis and special project requests. Ability to create, execute, and optimize SQL/Data Warehouse queries to extract meaningful insights. Continuous monitoring and improvement of data integrity within the Data Warehouse and planning systems. Identification and recommendation of system enhancements that support inventory optimization and superior customer service. Evaluation and refinement of forecasting methodologies and inventory planning models. Cross‑functional coordination to resolve system or data issues impacting planning or expediting. Regular delivery of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly analytics reports, dashboards, and executive summaries. Guidance provided to Supply Analysts leveraging data insights to improve inventory and fill rate KPIs. Effective management of assigned parts analytics, including system parameters and data completeness. Analysis and recommendations for scrap management, part lifecycle decisions, and final buy strategies. Work Schedule / Travel 7:00 am

Required Qualifications Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred but not required. Experience & Skills Experience with inventory planning or supply chain analytics required. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL. Strong understanding of inventory management concepts and systems. Experience with SQL, MS Access, or other database technologies required. Excellent communication skills, with ability to present insights to technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong organizational skills in managing timelines and reporting. Python programming preferred (data manipulation, modeling, automation). Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting, data modeling, and data visualization tools preferred. Employment Type
