GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Analyst is primarily responsible for reporting inventory inaccuracies, gathering evidence, and performing inventory and reconciliation transactions in ERP and Inventory Management Systems used by KUAS. Performance includes scheduled-periodic reviews of all inventory statuses, excess property, and scrap materials. The Inventory Control Analyst is also responsible for Inventory management system analysis, audits, modification to cycle count coding and counting frequencies. The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for inventory reporting and the integrity of that reporting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inventory Control Analyst ALL The duties and responsibilities listed below apply to all levels of Inventory Control Analyst. Each level of Inventory Control Analyst has additional duties and responsibilities listed. Collaborates and works cooperatively with internal and external department personnel. Maintains an accurate, complete, auditable trail of documentation. Performs root cause analysis for inventory deficiencies. Updates inventory records and completes ERP and Inventory Management system transactions in a timely manner. Reviews processes to improve efficiency, identify gaps and recommend correction. Gathers and maintains objective evidence (source documents, supporting documentation, and records) to support audit findings. Immediately reports unintentional damage/destruction, stolen, pilfered, or lost property to applicable management personnel. Other duties as assigned.
Inventory Control Analyst I:
Distributes cycle count report and requirements to applicable department personnel. Compares on-hand inventory to system balance; may perform blind initial or recounts. Enters on-hand count quantities into ERP and Inventory management system. Reports cycle count discrepancies to appropriate management personnel Enters approved variances into ERP system to reconcile system balance. Performs scheduled inventory management events for pre-determined areas to verify accuracy of inventory status, identification, condition, and/or quantities. Utilizes business processes and work instructions to perform functional duties. Performs assigned tasks within the corrective action system. Reports approved disposal to applicable department personnel. Performs ERP and Inventory Management system transactions timely; transactions include inventory count, movement, and adjustment.
Inventory Control Analyst II:
Recommends cost-effective and efficient inventory management methods to applicable management personnel. Assist Planning and Program management with ERP transactions (project issuing and inventory reassignment) Schedules inventory management events and identifies areas to be audited for the verification of inventory status, identification, condition, and/or quantities accuracy. Supports audits as needed (inventory, finance, Government property, customer etc.) Assist in the development of business processes and department work instructions. Performs ERP and Inventory Management system transactions timely; transactions may include receipt, inventory status change, cycle count code change, shelf-life, retest and expiration date change, inventory movement, inventory count, adjustment, reassignment, and project issues. May perform the duties of Inventory Control Analyst I as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Each successive level of Inventory Control Analyst builds on the identified typical qualifications listed for the previous level(s) Inventory Control Analyst. Inventory Control Analyst I High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years related experience. Working knowledge of the inventory control function as well as an understanding of the accounting implications of inventory procedures and transactions. Ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office suite software programs. Intermediate knowledge of ERP system. Prior hands-on experience with an ERP or Inventory Management system. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to mentor inventory control personnel and to effectively work with all levels in the organization. Ability to prioritize and self-manage duties. Inventory Control Analyst II 3-5 years related experience. Ability to perform all duties of Inventory Control Analyst I. Ability to analyze process deficiencies, build a synopsis and recommend reconciliation and process improvements. Ability to effectively train personnel on inventory Management processes and effectively communicate requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office and/or Manufacturing environments. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones). May work extended hours or weekends. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with KUAS General Safety Training guidelines. Standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs. unassisted and 50 lbs. assisted, carrying, reaching, sitting, and working at heights. May work in non-temperature-controlled environments. Employee may generate, handle, manage, or work around hazardous materials and hazardous wastes.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
15-25% Travel required between KUAS and customer/vendor locations.
