Our work spans a full range of Combatant, Hull, Mechanical and Electrical, and Habitability systems, supporting the readiness and mission success of the U.S. Fleet.

Position SpecificsVigor Marine CM San Diego is currently seeking an experienced Material Planning Coordinator to support our operations. The Material Planning Coordinator reports to the Material Control Supervisor and provides support to the material planning and control function. The position is responsible for receipt, inspection, and storage of all material in accordance with company and government policies and procedures. Minimum RequirementsComplies with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Policies and ProceduresDemonstrates the highest standards of professional and ethical behavior, putting the company values and commitments at the forefront of decisions and actions.

Fosters openness and early detection of possible ethics, compliance, and contractual issues to support early intervention of nonconformities and/or compliance violations.

Fulfills all training and development activities in accordance with designated deadlines.

Ensures all data entry of all material receipts and shipments.

Ensures material received is material ordered and all required certification is included with shipment.

Ensures Material Safety Data Sheets are received and kept on file as required by OSHA standards.

Maintains daily functions of the stock room.

Maintains accurate documentation, certifications and records.

Maintains warehouse cleanliness. Assists the Material Control Supervisor with the GFM and PTD process.

Familiar with Government specifications and drawingsMust have a basic understanding of computer systems (i.e. Microsoft office)Good written and verbal communicationThe ability to acquire a DBIDS credential is requiredMust be a U.S. CitizenPhysical RequirementsMust have warehouse skills, which include heavy lifting, rigging and movement of material using forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies etc.

May be exposed to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial or shipboard environment.

Frequently moves throughout the yard.

Must be able to maneuver, ascend, and descend stairs/ladders/ramps located inside various ships.

Ability to move more than 40lbs.

May be exposed to rapid changes in microclimates, industrial processes, and other environmental factors while collecting data, providing direction, and observing performance of task teams.
