  • $100K (DOE) Exempt Depending on experience and qualifications 【Position Summary】 The Operations Lead will manage and support day-to-day operational activities from customer order receipt through shipment.
This includes order processing, purchasing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, logistics, customer compliance support, ERP/MRP data entry, and process improvement. The role includes both administrative and hands-on operational responsibilities. In addition to office-based work, the candidate will assist with counting incoming products and parts, preparing items for shipment, inventory checks, and packaging. For larger products, engineers and technicians will provide support, so the candidate will work as part of a team when needed. This is not a people management role; however, the company is looking for someone who is responsible, proactive, flexible, and willing to take ownership of a wide range of tasks. 【Essential Duties and Responsibilities】 Coordinate the order fulfillment process from customer order receipt through delivery Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Quality teams Track order status, production schedules, material availability, and shipment commitments Support on-time delivery by identifying risks and communicating recovery plans as needed Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers Review purchase requests and ask questions when requests appear unnecessary or unclear Obtain purchase approvals in a timely manner Support shipping, receiving, warehouse, and logistics activities Count incoming products and parts and assist with inventory control Prepare products for shipment, including packaging support Support cycle counts, physical inventory, and month-end inventory reporting Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and assist with system maintenance Maintain customer portals and compliance systems as required Support customer audits and supplier qualification activities Track operational KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, lead time, backlog, and productivity Assist in improving operational processes and procedures Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Follow company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations 【Key Performance Indicators】 On-time delivery support Order processing accuracy ERP data accuracy Inventory accuracy Customer response time Completion of compliance-related tasks 【Qualifications】 Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field 2+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, inventory control, or a related field Understanding of order fulfillment, inventory control, purchasing, and logistics Experience using ERP/MRP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting Strong communication and customer service skills Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work 100% on-site Japanese language skills sufficient to communicate with the parent company in Japan Legal authorization to work in the United States
