Job Description

Job Description Day to day: Our client is looking for an assistant planner to provide crucial support to the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Buying and Planning teams, encompassing both e-commerce and retail stores. This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, building a foundational understanding of sales trends and planning processes.
Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the Director of Retail Planning with in-season business decks, ad hoc analysis, and data entry.
  • Owning the end-to-end execution of weekly business reporting; accurately updating and distributing performance reports to the teams.
  • Learning and utilize planning tools and systems, including planning templates, weeks of supply (WOS) tracking, and forecast reporting.
  • Building a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
  • Collaborating with cross functional partners (Allocations, Buying, Ecommerce) to align on business goals and support growth through shared data analysis.
  • Assisting with planning and forecasting of replenishment buys and related analyses.
Assisting in quarterly hindsight recapping, focusing on insights related to key performance indicators (KPIs).   • Bachelor's degree (Business, Math, or Finance preferred)
  • Proven knowledge and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear collaboration with team members.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics principles and experience with information systems.
  • Proficiency in Business Objects.
  • Experience in Anaplan.
