Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, analyzing stock data, and optimizing procurement processes to ensure seamless warehouse distribution and order fulfillment. Your expertise will help enhance our inventory control strategies, improve process efficiencies, and support strategic sourcing initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where data-driven decision-making is key to success. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze inventory levels across multiple warehouses using ERP systems such as AS400 and other warehouse management systems. Conduct root cause analysis on stock discrepancies, shortages, or excesses, implementing corrective actions to improve accuracy. Collaborate with procurement teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize purchasing costs. Utilize data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to visualize inventory trends, demand patterns, and supply chain performance metrics. Support demand planning and production scheduling by analyzing historical sales data from Nielsen, retail management systems, and e-commerce platforms. Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to streamline shipping & receiving processes and ensure timely order fulfillment. Drive process improvements within inventory management workflows, including stocking procedures, materials handling, and warehouse distribution practices. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, warehouse distribution, and inventory control techniques. Proficiency in ERP systems such as AS400, SAP, or similar platforms; experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) is preferred. Excellent data analysis skills with experience in SQL, Power BI, Tableau or other visualization tools; ability to interpret complex datasets for actionable insights. Effective negotiation skills for vendor management and procurement activities; experience managing supplier relationships is a plus. Familiarity with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and freight management (including heavy lifting procedures). Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Warehouse experience including forklift operation certification is desirable; knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential.
