  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Strategic Buyer & Supply Chain Analyst to lead procurement strategies and optimize supply chain operations across our organization.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and enhance procurement processes through innovative solutions and data-driven insights. As a key player in our supply chain management team, you will ensure the seamless flow of materials, manage contract negotiations, and implement category management practices that support manufacturing excellence and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help us strengthen our procurement capabilities, ensure compliance with industry standards such as Federal Acquisition Regulations, and contribute to our overall business success. Duties Lead strategic sourcing initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to maximize value and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and materials management. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve supply chain disruptions, improve logistics efficiency, and enhance overall supply chain resilience. Develop and implement category management strategies aligned with manufacturing needs, production planning, and inventory optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, quality management, production planning, and manufacturing to streamline procurement activities. Monitor supplier performance through supplier management programs; address issues related to quality, delivery delays, or pricing discrepancies proactively. Analyze market trends and leverage sourcing strategies to identify new suppliers or alternative materials that support cost savings and innovation. Ensure procurement activities adhere to industry regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal policies for compliance and risk mitigation. Support the integration of ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement management workflows; optimize system configurations for efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in procurement management with a focus on strategic sourcing within manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous contracts while maintaining supplier relationships. Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS; familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Deep understanding of supply chain management principles including logistics, materials management, production planning, and vendor performance evaluation. Experience in category management, contract negotiation, and supplier management practices. Ability to perform root cause analysis on supply chain issues; skilled in problem-solving under pressure. Familiarity with federal regulations like FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) applicable to government or defense contracts is a plus. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related field; advanced certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are advantageous.
