Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Summary Under minimal supervision, this role provides and presents operational and financial guidance, expertise and recommendations to the Supply Chain management team for operational decisions, forecasting, and strategic planning. Works directly with company management to ensure proper application and interpretation of operational and financial information and special analysis of critical issues. Provides the Supply Chain operational and financial management and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting of all Supply Chain (transportation, warehouse) expenses by working closely with and interfacing regularly with various department heads, including Sales, Transportation, Warehousing, and Deployment, as well as group carriers. Key Responsibilities Assure compliance with Food Group. Corporate and governmental accounting regulations and policies by developing, directing and implementing programs and systems in accordance with company policies. Provides the Supply Chain summary reporting of operational, financial and analytical functions, including transportation analysis, warehouse analysis, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Develops and maintains processes and procedures to ensure operational reports, financial reports and other analytical information and systems are accurate, timely and informative. Provides the Supply Chain operational and financial research, review and analysis of new businesses or customers, potential acquisitions, alliances, joint ventures, and new capital projects. Provide vendor expense review/audit/approval (transportation, warehouse) to ensure accuracy and to adhere to negotiated terms. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university Relevant Experience 5+ years related experience and/or training Other Information Ability to collect and present summary data appropriately to senior management and make recommendations in line with strategic operations. Ability to work on cross-functional teams, either as a member or leader. Ability to work independently with little oversight or supervision. Ability to act as a mentor to less-senior members of the department.
