Job Description
Supply Chain Analyst Job Description The Supply Chain Analyst oversees component parts inventory and supply chain performance to ensure uninterrupted production in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on managing North American part ordering, monitoring abnormal supply chain conditions, and collaborating closely with logistics and engineering teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and support major ongoing projects. Responsibilities Maintain component parts inventory by effectively utilizing the Server eKanban System. Conduct daily analysis of abnormal conditions in the supply chain from suppliers to the plant and take appropriate corrective actions. Develop, visualize, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), operating procedures, and project schedules to support continuous improvement. Manage inventory to meet build-out and start-up targets while ensuring zero impact to production. Partner with external and internal logistics groups to reduce internal part shortages and overflow situations. Request, track, and monitor recovery plans for abnormal conditions that occur in the supply chain. Collaborate consistently with the engineering department on the production floor to align material flow with production needs. Analyze data and ordering patterns to optimize inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency. Work with data management systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and supply chain information. Support North American part ordering across hundreds of suppliers and thousands of part numbers, ensuring timely and accurate replenishment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, production flow, and logistics processes. Be available for overtime as needed to support production requirements and resolve urgent supply chain issues. Essential Skills Experience with inventory management in a manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on experience with manufacturing flow and production flow processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables, and the ability to pass an Excel assessment. Experience with supply chain operations within a manufacturing setting. Strong logistics analysis and logistics management skills. Familiarity with material flow concepts and practices. Experience working with data management systems in a supply chain or inventory context. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and ordering patterns to drive decisions. Comfort working with analytics and applied mathematics in a business context. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, Mathematics, Information Technology, Technology, or a related field. Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization. Proficiency with Microsoft Access or similar database tools. Ability to develop and monitor KPIs, operating procedures, and project schedules. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with logistics, engineering, and production teams. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in inventory and data management. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
