Job Description:

General Purpose of Job:

Provides general office support relative to purchasing, order entry, supplier interaction, raw material transportation and logistics, and clerical requirements associated with day-to-day manufacturing activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages aspects of raw material supply chain.
• Enters purchase orders and maintains all reference information.
• Coordinates transportation logistics and scheduling of raw materials.
• Helps insure and maintain reference pricing of raw materials.
• Helps maintain and manage proper inventory levels of selected items, as dictated.
• Facilitates communication among departments.
• Maintains inventory of manufacturing and office supplies and orders as needed.
• Works with uniform supplier to manage uniforms and lockers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills or Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Accounting and/or billing experience
• Three to Five years of professionally related experience
• Effective organization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong statistical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Computer competence in Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Requirements Sitting Ability to sit for long periods of time (e.g., 8-hour workday). Prolonged use of a computer or desk work. Bending and Kneeling Ability to bend, kneel, or squat to perform tasks. Frequent bending or kneeling required during work. Vision and Hearing Ability to see up close, at a distance, and in low-light conditions. Requires good hearing to communicate effectively or monitor machines and equipment. Environmental Conditions Working in a factory environment where temperatures may be hot, or cold. Exposure to potentially hazardous substances or machinery (e.g., chemicals, noise, or Lifting and Carrying vibrations). Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequent lifting and movement of materials or products.
