Job Description:
The Cost Analyst - Purchased Parts & Production Processes is responsible for analyzing, modeling, and evaluating costs associated with purchased components, raw materials, and manufacturing processes. This role supports sourcing, cost reduction, VAVE and product development through detailed cost modeling. The position plays a critical role in improving cost transparency, supporting negotiations, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop cost models for purchased parts (materials, labor, overhead, margins). Analyze manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, and assembly. Support supplier negotiations with should-cost analysis. Collaborate with engineering on design-to-cost initiatives. Evaluate supplier quotations and identify cost drivers. Monitor raw material and process cost trends. Provide cost input for new product development. Prepare reports for management. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field. 3-7 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Advanced Excel and analytical skills. Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive industry experience. ERP system knowledge (e.g., SAP). Global sourcing familiarity.
