CENTRAL MATERIAL PLANNING ANALYST SOUTHFIELD, MI WORLD HQ EL PASO, TX
Function Drive continuous improvement in MRP processes with Lear's Electronics Plants Summary of role The Central Material Planning Analyst will monitor and audit the MRP processes of Lear's Electronics plants. The goal is to improve, centralize, and standardize Lear's MRP processes globally to enhance efficiency by aligning supply with demand thereby mitigating costs associated with plant downtime, premium freight and excess inventory. Detailed Description of the Role (with bullets) This roles work will include, but not limited to: Monitor global plant coordinators adherence to MRP processes Identify gaps in existing processes Develop, document and train plant coordinators on optimized processes As the expert on MRP, provide guidance and training as needed to the plant coordinators Monitor global RM inventory trends to proactively address excess or short material Analyze supplier schedules before and after each MRP run Address coverage gaps with plant coordinators and escalate with suppliers for resolution MRP parameter owner Advantages of working for Lear on this team As a newly formed team, there is high visibility within the organization, as well as significant autonomy and opportunity to develop metrics and lead novel initiatives. The Central Material Planning Analyst regularly interacts with Lear leadership to communicate the progress on team initiatives. Qualifications (minimum requirements) Bachelor's degree Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience Experience with QAD Expert in MRP Experience with analyzing, creating and documenting processes Additional Skills and Experience (beneficial but not required) MBA or Master's in Supply Chain Management CSCP or other APICS Certification Experience with automotive industry, electronics a plus Broad supply chain experience, including both customer and supplier facing roles Lear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.
