Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Import Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end import process, ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, freight carriers, customs authorities, and internal departments. Your expertise will help optimize supply chain operations, maintain accurate inventory levels, and support efficient warehouse distribution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where process improvement and supply chain excellence are at the forefront of our success. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all aspects of import shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation planning. Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and 3PL providers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and optimize logistics workflows. Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement within the import and supply chain operations. Oversee shipping & receiving activities, including order fulfillment, packing, materials handling, and dispatching. Maintain compliance with customs regulations and ensure all import documentation is accurate and complete. Support procurement activities by sourcing vendors and negotiating pricing to maximize cost efficiencies. Assist in demand planning and inventory control to align supply with operational needs while minimizing excess stock. Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts ensuring efficient storage, picking & packing, and inventory management. Implement best practices in freight management, transportation planning, and warehouse operations to enhance overall supply chain performance. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management with a focus on import/export operations. Strong knowledge of ABI Protocol, and Cargowise Hands-on experience with freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, 3PL logistics providers, and customs and OGA Procedures Prior experience working with e-commerce is a plus. join us if you're passionate about streamlining supply chain processes, managing complex logistics networks, and driving operational excellence!
Pay:
