Raw Materials Specialist - Apparel & Performance Wear ???? Manhattan, New York (55 Water Street) ???? $39.77 - $45.52 per hour ???? 3-month contract (with potential extension) ???? What you'll do As a Raw Materials Specialist, you will support the development, tracking, and maintenance of raw materials used across product categories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely execution across global vendor partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing raw material creation and updates within Centric PLM Initiating and tracking proto yardage in PLM systems Supporting development of fabrics, trims, elastics, and garment materials Following up with mills and vendors on material development status Maintaining clear and organized records of material data and updates Creating visual tools and presentations using PowerPoint and InDesign Supporting cross-functional teams with material development tracking Participating in daily meetings and providing updates on development progress Communicating clearly with internal teams and external partners Ensuring accuracy and consistency across PLM systems and documentation We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Experienced in raw materials, fabric, trims, or product development Confident working in PLM systems (Centric or similar) Strong in Excel and data tracking A proactive communicator with strong follow-up skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment A true team player who enjoys collaboration and communication What you bring Minimum 1 year of experience in raw materials, apparel product development, or related field Strong understanding of fabric, trims, elastics, or swim/performance materials preferred Experience using PLM systems (Centric or Flex PLM preferred) Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience working with vendors or mills is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Why join this team This is more than a technical support role, it's an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of globally recognized apparel collections in a fast-moving, trend-driven industry.
