Inventory Analyst Job Description:
The Inventory Analyst works closely with production and distribution leadership to ensure proper control of inventory, both raw and finished goods. They should have expert knowledge of inventory processes and high individual accountability.
Responsibilities:
Plant-wide Inventory Control Finished Goods - Cycle Count Program Drive continuous improvement in inventory control processes Lead corrective action initiatives for inventory discrepancies Annual Physical Inventory Counts Control of FG Inventory Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy above 98% Production Proper scanning Ongoing training Proper inventory location Production tag reconciliation including scrap to regrind Shipping Ensure orders are processed accurately Proper scanning from and to all locations Proper scanning at dock doors Receiving Ensure receiving procedures are efficient and are being followed Inbound product received on a timely manner Accurate receiving process Product Returns Customer returns A related Facilitate/lead scanning of all inbounds, finished goods and raw materials Control of Raw Material Inventory Conduct weekly counts of raw materials Root cause analysis for variances Data Analysis Projects as assigned by manager, which may include inventory analysis or compiling and analyzing data for production or distribution. Work Environment The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
