Job Description
KP Staffing Houston is now hiring quality control inspectors for a company that manufactures control valves in Houston, TX! Job Summary The quality control inspector will support daily receiving and shipping functions by verifying incoming materials, inspecting parts to engineering standards, and assisting with customer deliveries. This role will also support production and quality needs as assigned. Pay $20
- 21 per hour Shift 1st shift: 8 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m., Monday
- Friday Duties Place incoming material into arrived status in the MRP system Confirm part quantity matches purchase order quantity Inspect parts to engineering document standards and specifications Receive purchase orders into the MRP system once parts are verified as acceptable Complete first article inspections as required Complete NCRs for non-conforming material Support customer and production needs based on work priorities Work with the quality manager and quality analyst as needed Help with or complete special projects as assigned Operate a sit-down forklift Support receiving functions during the first half of the day Support customer deliveries during the last half of the day Qualifications 2 years of experience in receiving and inspection of manufactured and purchased parts High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of experience using general metrology equipment in a light engineering environment MS Office experience required Working knowledge of MRP systems Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of the valve, casting, machining, and PCB industry is a plus Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and pass certification Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent Ability to communicate fluently in English Job Type Contract To Hire How to Apply Start by submitting your resume or visit KP Staffing 10780 Westview Dr Suite G Houston Tx 77043 for an in-person interview or call our office 346-800-2010.
