POSITION SUMMARY
Located in Lewisville, TX Full-Time Hybrid As an Associate Analyst in Demand Planning, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to generate accurate demand forecasts. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the dynamic field of demand planning.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration:
Engage with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather essential information for demand forecasting. Participate in cross-functional meetings, fostering effective communication and alignment on demand planning strategies.Analysis:
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and relevant factors to produce accurate and insightful demand forecasts. Monitor and report on forecast accuracy, proactively identifying and addressing discrepancies.Tools and Models:
Assist in the development and maintenance of demand planning tools and models. Utilize various analytical tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. Alignment withSupply Chain:
Collaborate closely with supply chain teams to ensure seamless alignment between demand forecasts and inventory levels. Contribute to the development of strategies aimed at optimizing inventory and mitigating stockouts and overstock situations.Strategy Development:
Support the development of strategic initiatives to optimize inventory management. Contribute ideas and insights to the ongoing enhancement of demand planning strategies.COMPETENCIES
Ability to analyze data and market trends to generate accurate demand forecasts. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in demand forecasting. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
0 - 2 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related role, or equivalent military or practical experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools. Basic understanding of supply chain processes and principles. Knowledge of demand planning software/tools is a plus.
