Be part of a growing and exciting part of the gas compressor business at Solar Turbines! The gas compressor overhaul and restage team services Solar's centrifugal line of compressors. This role interfaces with engineering, business development and the broader planning organization to right size inventory and support projects with material. The role blends both DRP Distribution Resource Planning and MRP (Manufacturing Requirements Planning) activities.
What you will do:
Participates in sequencing work to meet targeted delivery dates for multiple and critical orders. Process/create orders for project and restocking demand. Sets parameters and determines the appropriate values for safety stock and reorder point levels. Creates a multi-year parts forecast based on a product forecast. Supports S&OP inquiries with material availability. Works with engineering and supply chain to assure inventory strategy aligns with product variability, supplier capacity and cost control. Adjusts inventory plan based on sales forecasts, custom orders and demand-driven orders.
What you will have:
Extensive experience using an ERP in a parts planning role. Infor LN, SAP or equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge in the development of reports, dashboards and previous experience in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or other similar analytics software. Excel knowledge, using pivot tables/charts, queries and rudimentary usage of standard functions such as Vlookup, Countif, Sumif etc. (vba not required.) Related Degree and or
APICS CPIM
(Certified in Planning and Inventory Management)

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
