TITLE:
Inventory Analyst
POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor. The position will ensure the right amount of goods on hand are kept and responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role is essential for ensuring that products or materials are readily available for production, sales, or distribution, and that the company's financial records align with the actual inventory on hand. They will work with multiple departments to ensure open communication of available products daily.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant certifications in inventory management is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
Physical ability to lift and move inventory items as needed.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations related to inventory storage.
Proven knowledge in purchasing, receiving and inventory control
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with other departments and with external suppliers
Good in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Forklift License is a plus.
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cycle count raw materials, WIP and Film, Scrap, packaging materials, finished goods
Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products
Assist in receiving and shipping materials, finished goods
Assist in transfers to and from production area
Collaborate with the inventory control team to reconcile discrepancies between cycle count results and recorded inventory levels.
Review and investigate all discrepancies and report as necessary.
Assist and enter monthly inventories in AS400.
Inventory cycle counts, manual counts, and physical counts schedules for both plants and record the data
Coordinate cycle counts in multiple plants, travel when necessary
Work closely with material handlers to monitor inventory transactions
Work closely with shipping and receiving to monitor and reconcile inventory issues
