Job Description

Dateline Resources Limited is an Australian-owned mining company currently developing its 100% owned Colosseum Gold and Rare Earths Project in San Bernardino County, California. With construction planned from mid-2026 and production targeted for mid-2027, the Colosseum Project represents a significant opportunity within a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The project includes a 1.1Moz gold mineral resource, and additional potential for rare earth mineralisation that is geologically linked to the nearby Mountain Pass Rare Earth Mine. This is an opportunity to join an exciting project from commencement, and to play a key leadership role in establishing world-class environmental, health, and safety standards for a major gold and rare earths development in California. About the role We are seeking a HSEC Superintendent to support site-based HSEC functions at the Colosseum Project. Experience with providing effective and compliant HSEC support to the project while ensuring safe and sustainable operations during the development and operational phases of the mine will be highly regarded If you are a mining experienced HSEC Superintendent, located in Las Vegas or San Bernadino areas, or willing to relocate for the role, please apply.
Key responsibilities include:
Implementing and maintaining site-wide HSEC programs covering environmental compliance, hazardous materials management, wastewater and stormwater controls, indoor air quality, chemical safety, asbestos and lead management, and confined space safety. Leading accident prevention initiatives, conduct field safety audits, and recommend improvements to minimize operational risks. Oversee compliance with MSHA, CalOSHA, and applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting obligations are met. Manage key environmental programs such as SWPPP, SPCC, water management, and environmental permitting, supporting responsible and compliant mine development. Monitor and report on HSEC performance, manage site inspections and audits, and work closely with project teams to ensure new processes, equipment, and facilities are designed and implemented with safety and environmental protection in mind. About you Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred not mandatory) Minimum 3 yrs experience in a HSEC role within mining, metals, or heavy industrial operations. The right to work in the United States Experience implementing safety management systems, leading training programs, and working with regulatory authorities Demonstrated ability to partner with operations, mining, and construction teams to develop and implement effective HSEC solutions. Working knowledge of HSEC digital and reporting systems Certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or CIH considered highly desirable. Strong working knowledge of HSEC regulations, environmental legislation, and EHS management systems is essential.
