Job Description

Job Overview BC Underground LLC is looking for a competent local Underground Utility Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee crews at construction sites. As the point of contact of clients, supervisors and workers you will be a key person for the completion of the project. You will have to demonstrate a solid background in the field and in this industry. With your extensive knowledge, superior leadership and communication skills you will be able to direct the work of your crews, multi-task and make quick decisions while staying well-organized and favoring safety above everything else.
Responsibilities:
  • Report to Project Manager/CEO on progress etc.
  • Must have ability to work independently
  • Prioritize and coordinate tasks accordingly to time schedule and plans
  • Monitor attendance of crews and assign daily responsibilities
  • Supervise workers and the use of equipment and machinery
  • Assure that all safety precautions are met
  • Follow and guarantee that company's quality standards are met
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner Requirements
  • 2 Year proven supervisor experience in Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, Pressure Pipe (Water, Sewer, Fire) & Fire Line Installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment/machinery and hydraulic system
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction procedures and safety guidelines
  • Ability to read drawing, blueprints and plans
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills, Team player
  • Ability to stay organized, multi-task and report effectively
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems
  • Good physical condition, must be able to work in heat for 8 hours and lift 50 lbs
