Job Description
Data Mining Specialist As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns and trends. You will use various data mining tools and techniques to extract information from databases, websites, and other sources. Your main goal will be to help our company make informed decisions by providing accurate and relevant data.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data from various sources using web scraping, SQL queries, and other methods
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Identify patterns and trends in the data using statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and other techniques
- Create reports and visualizations to present findings in a clear manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide insights based on data analysis
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data mining techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in data mining or a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R or other programming languages for data analysis
- Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, Oracle or MongoDB
- Familiarity with web scraping tools like Scrapy or BeautifulSoup
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
