Company Overview Kasota Stone is seeking a hands-on Mining Foreman / Supervisor for our Ely Dimensional Stone Granite Quarry who is a strong core value fit, leads from the field, and can help a quarry team work safely, stay productive, and execute the plan. The right person will actively support the mining team, maintain priorities, help operate equipment, and stay close to the highest-impact production activity. An ideal candidate must be able to effectively navigate change, overcome daily obstacles, and be a strong decision maker. Core Values Team Player, Empowered Optimism, Passion for Excellence, Duties Lead and support the quarry team in daily execution - including line-outs, task direction, production goals, and follow-through. Help maximize production output while maintaining a strong focus on workplace examinations, hazard awareness, MSHA expectations, and safe working procedures. Stay active in the highest-impact production areas and support the team directly in the quarry, not just from the office or trailer. Execute against the mining plan by helping convert weekly goals into daily production targets Safely and efficiently operate mobile & heavy equipment including: loader, excavator, haul truck, skid steer, wire saws, quarry drills, large blade saw, and other related equipment. Support equipment uptime through routine maintenance awareness, pre-shift inspections, minor servicing when appropriate, and timely reporting of needed repairs. Maintain relevant production and inventory reporting Assist with maintaining block inventory, maximizing stone material usage, and keeping production areas organized and clean Communicate regularly with leadership on progress, safety concerns, equipment needs, team support needs, and opportunities for improvement. Support miner development and have a "team miner" mentality. Requirements Prior foreman, supervisor, manager, leadership experience Quarry, mining, heavy equipment, construction, aggregate, or production experience preferred. Strong hands-on operating ability and comfort working directly in an outdoor environment. Problem-solving mindset Comfortable using technology Basic understanding of equipment maintenance, repair needs, pre-shift inspections, and routine service expectations. Mechanical repair knowledge, welding experience, or electrical/mechanical troubleshooting ability is a plus. Knowledge of MSHA requirements, workplace examinations, and safe quarry/mining practices is a plus.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
