Job Description

Overview Superior Title Services is seeking an experienced, high-performing Oil and Gas Land Manager to oversee our title abstracting projects in the Ohio Utica Shale area. The ideal candidate will manage a team of field landmen, coordinate directly with the client, and assist in all facets of upstream operations.
Duties Team Management:
Supervise and coordinate field landmen, lease buyers, and title abstractors to meet project deadlines.
Acquisition & Negotiation:
Lead negotiations for oil and gas leases, surface use agreements, and right-of-way (ROW) acquisition.
Title Analysis:
Review HBP (Held By Production) leasehold titles, curative documents, and leasehold ownership chains.
Compliance:
Ensure all company, state, and local regulations are met in Ohio.
Project Reporting:
Provide weekly updates to executive management regarding title examination progress, acreage acquisitions, and ODNR unitization requirements.
Experience Experience:
5+ years of land experience, with specific experience in the Ohio Utica Shale play strongly preferred.
Leadership:
Proven experience managing or acting as a project lead for land projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in title research, leasing, and strong communication. Member of AAPL. Located in the Greater Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area.
Pay:
From $150,000.00 per year
