Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Chief Advancement Officer/Foundation Director. This leadership position will focus on directing, organizing, and managing the Foundation and Advancement Department to support the college's mission and vision. The ideal candidate will be motivated to facilitate donor development, generate fundraising efforts, and expand the college's financial and capital resources. Collaboration with the College President, Foundation Board, CCCS System Leadership, and the President's Executive Cabinet will be essential.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide leadership and vision for the Foundation and Advancement Department, developing a strategic plan that guides staff and board actions. Serve as the lead fundraiser, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors while positioning the College President and leadership to build donor relationships. Organize fundraising operations, including volunteer engagement, events, and donor relations while staying updated on fundraising innovations. Develop strategies to secure gifts from various sources, enhance relationships with major donors, and raise public awareness of the foundation's mission and college programs. Create a donor database and manage administration to ensure effective development practices, adhering to established guidelines and donor intent. Conduct community outreach on behalf of the College, participating actively in local organizations and events. Support the alumni association by working with alumni to build a leadership structure and facilitating meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and non-profit development. Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
