Full Job Description Reports To:
Board of Directors Role Summary The Executive Director functions as the chief executive officer of Liberia Economic & Social Development, Inc. (LES). This position is responsible for ensuring the organization operates effectively, sustainably, and in alignment with its core mission to support the social and economic development of Liberian communities. The Executive Director will be a driving force behind innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and community outreach, ensuring that LES continues to grow its impact both domestically and internationally. Primary Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop, refine, and implement a long-term strategic plan that aligns with LES's mission to empower Liberian communities. Identify and act on growth opportunities, including new programs, markets, or funding sources. Program Management Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs such as youth education initiatives, health fairs, micro-loan activities, and cultural heritage events. Ensure that programs are responsive to community needs, uphold quality standards, and meet deliverables within set timelines. Fundraising & Resource Development Lead all fundraising initiatives, including grants, individual giving campaigns, corporate sponsorships, and special events. Forge partnerships with philanthropic institutions, foundations, and government agencies to diversify revenue streams. Financial Oversight Prepare and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors, maintaining accountability for all financial activities. Analyze financial reports regularly to ensure financial sustainability, adjusting strategies as needed to meet organizational goals. Human Resources & Team Development Hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, promoting a team culture that values collaboration, inclusivity, and excellence. Establish performance metrics and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Community Engagement & Advocacy Serve as the public face of LES, representing the organization at conferences, media events, and community gatherings. Advocate for policies and initiatives that support LES's mission, building awareness of the challenges faced by Liberian communities. Board Relations Collaborate with the Board of Directors on governance, policy making, and organizational strategy. Provide regular updates and reports to the Board, ensuring they have the information needed to make informed decisions.

Collaboration & Relationship Building :
Skilled at forming partnerships, negotiating agreements, and bringing diverse groups together for collective action. Performance Measures Achievement of fundraising and budgetary goals. Growth and retention of program participants in key initiatives (educational programs, micro-loan recipients, health fair attendees, etc.). Positive feedback from stakeholders, including community leaders, board members, donors, and program beneficiaries. Successful planning and execution of organizational events (e.g., galas, cultural festivals, community outreach days).
Pay:
$58,492.55 - $70,442.65 per year
