Job Description

Executive Director Job Description:
The Executive Director (ED) of The Northwest Indiana Dental Society is appointed by the Board of Directors and serves as the Administrative Director of the Component. The role encompasses various responsibilities including:
Marketing, PR, Social Media, and Event Planning:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote Component events, initiatives, and membership, leveraging expertise in marketing, PR, or event planning. Manage social media presence and engage with members and the community online. Plan and coordinate events such as conferences, workshops, and social gatherings to enhance member engagement and visibility.
Financial Management:
Manage accounting tasks using QuickBooks, including payroll, tax payments, and bill payments with dual signature authorization. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports to the Treasurer. Coordinate with accountants on payroll, tax records, financial papers, and bookkeeping to maintain nonprofit status.
Meeting Management:
Attend and record minutes for Executive Council Board Meetings. Organize and prepare for general membership meetings, including creating promotional materials, managing RSVPs, and submitting CE credits.
Administrative Duties:
Update and amend Bylaws as required, ensuring officers receive current copies. Facilitate communication and integration with ADA and IDA offices. Maintain confidential records of correspondence and communications related to Component business.
Communication and Coordination:
Coordinate activities among officers, councils, committees, and membership. Develop and maintain communication channels with Component members and related associations. Coordinate public relations events and handle media communications as needed.
Office Management:
Maintain an efficient central office to support communication and information dissemination. Manage technology platforms and upgrades, including social media and website maintenance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Planning, Business Administration, or related field preferred, with demonstrated experience in nonprofit management, financial oversight, organizational leadership, marketing, PR, social media management, and event planning. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication tools.
Schedule:
30 hours per week
