As a premier youth-serving organization, we focus on empowering young individuals to become responsible and engaged citizens. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated District Executive to lead and expand our local scouting initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills, manage volunteer programs, and foster community engagement. The District Executive will play a vital role in recruiting youth and adult volunteers, coordinating events, and ensuring the growth of scouting programs within their district. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies for recruiting youth members and adult volunteers through community outreach. Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and development to strengthen program delivery. Oversee volunteer management activities including supervision, recognition, and engagement initiatives. Provide public speaking engagements at schools, community centers, and events to promote scouting programs. Secure funding by recruiting and leading volunteers in fundraising campaigns through annual fundraising and product sales campaigns. Achieve specific goals which include program, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and membership recruitment. Meet participation targets for camps and activities. Ensure all program sites are supported with leader meetings, training, and activities. Plan, promote, and execute district events using tools to maximize visibility and participation. Coordinate with community organizations to support community service projects aligned with scouting values. Desired Skills Background in recruiting, training & development, with excellent public speaking skills. Self-motivated individual with strong time management, organization, budgeting, and planning. Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and professionalism. Committed to productivity and high ethical and professional standards. Non-profit, fundraising or sales experience is a plus. Experience in social media management for promotional campaigns or community outreach efforts. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a passion youth development initiatives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences and foster teamwork.
