Position Summary:
The Executive Director (ED) of Patriot Relief will serve as the chief executive officer, responsible for leading the organization in alignment with its mission, vision, and strategic goals. The ED will oversee all aspects of operations, including fundraising, program development, financial management, community outreach, and staff leadership. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for service, strong strategic acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Provide visionary leadership to advance the organization's mission and goals. Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Fundraising & Development:
Lead fundraising initiatives to secure diversified revenue streams. Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners. Oversee grant writing, reporting, and compliance activities.
Operations & Financial Management:
Ensure effective operational systems, processes, and policies are in place. Manage the organization's budget, financial planning, and reporting. Oversee risk management and legal compliance.
Program Development & Impact:
Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs. Ensure programs are mission-aligned, effective, and responsive to community needs. Promote innovation and best practices in service delivery.
Staff & Team Development:
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing, mission-driven team. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive work environment. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Advocacy & Public Relations:
Serve as the primary spokesperson for Patriot Relief. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and media. Advocate for the organization's mission and priorities at local, state, and national levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of effective leadership experience in nonprofit management or a related field. Proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and organizational growth. Proven track record in grant writing. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management. Strong technology skills to manage donor relations and database. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, from recipients of assistance to the volunteer corps. Passion for Patriot Relief's mission and a commitment to service.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:
Competitive, commensurate with experience.
Work Environment:
Flexible home-based, with site visits as needed in western NC. Hours flex upon project needs, can consider part-time or full-time. How to
