Job Description

Summerhill Learning Center Director, Club Christ The Opportunity The mission of Club Christ is to empower urban youth to transform their community for Christ. Through Learning Centers located in under-resourced and underserved apartment complexes, students in 1st-12th grade receive quality programming and mentoring. Programming includes tutoring, leadership development, literacy intervention/enrichment, Bible Study, and art. The Center Director directly impacts the lives of 45 youth who attend the Learning Center by sharing the Gospel of Jesus and creating a welcoming and safe space for students. Opportunities for growth and advancement are available. The Center Director reports directly to the Program Director and is responsible for managing the daily operation of their Learning Center, as well as additional administrative tasks and assisting with major fundraisers held by organization. A Bachelor's Degree in a related-field is preferred, but not required. Experience working with youth for at least two years is preferred. Specific Tasks and Duties Programming Volunteers/Intern management Provide continual on-site training: schedule, observe/correct, mentor/encourage, facilitate relationships between them and students, explain tasks Implement all programming aspects (literacy room, tutoring, leadership, Bible Study) Maintain accurate records, including snacks, attendance, reading assessments, enrollment Parent engagement throughout the year: parent newsletters, texts/calls, parent conferences, plan and host family events Recruit students, mentor students and facilitate mentoring relationships Observe students' needs (academic, emotional, social, spiritual) and create action steps to address lagging skills, create tutoring groups, facilitate field trips, review student folders and communicate needs to Program Director Maintain a clean and orderly site Administrative Prepare for and participate in weekly meetings with Program Director, as well as staff meetings Maintain communication with donors via newsletters, emails, cards, and Open House events Engage in assigned readings and staff trainings Respond to communications from ED and PD in a timely manner Fundraising Invite personal network (family, friends, churches, volunteers) to partner in financial giving Participate in all meetings for fundraisers + fundraisers themselves Professional and Personal Qualifications Committed follower of Jesus, agrees to Club Christ Statement of Faith Has excellent verbal, written, and listening skills Previous management experience and working as a team player Flexible and adaptable Results-oriented Demonstrates integrity
Work Remotely No Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
