Job Description
The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership, strategic direction, and overall management to fulfill the organization's mission and vision as set by the Board of Directors. This role will require visionary leadership, overseeing daily operations, managing, and ensuring the organization's financial health. The Executive Director will convene on an ongoing basis with the Board of Directors to determine and formulate policies, procedures, processes, and provide overall direction of activities consistent with the mission, vision, and strategic plan as directed by the Board.
Executive Director duties and responsibilities:
Create business plans for achieving goals and objectives set in collaboration with the board of directors Create and meet budgetary goals, in partnership with the board of directors, by securing financial support from foundations, corporations, individual donors, and funding sources Work with the board on annual fundraising efforts and additional events, and oversee all external communications, including website, marketing collateral, newsletters, and social media Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external events to increase visibility, credibility, and market brand, and develop strategic partnerships to further increase community awareness and expand programs Fulfill the organization's mission through highly successful programs, community engagement, and fundraisingQualifications:
Knowledge of leadership and management principles Proven success working with a board of directors Entrepreneurial mindset, with an innovative approach to business planning Dynamic and charismatic team player who enjoys being the public face of an organization Experience with grant writing and reporting Five or more years of experience in senior management, preferably with nonprofit organizations Strong experience in public relations, marketing, and fundraising Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required Must be proactive, highly responsive, flexible, highly organized, detail-oriented, energetic, creative, and able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks at once. Valid NYS driver's license Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and be comfortable with the physical demands of the job.Education/Experience:
Master's degree (or equivalent) in business and Marketing Experience in managing budgets Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skillsWork Schedule:
A minimum of 40 hours per week is required, but more time may be required when needed. This position will require you to be flexible, available days, nights, and weekends.Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
