Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to oversee all operations, functions, and activities for Young Scholars of Bartlesville. You will be the face of the organization, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision. Responsibilities The Young Scholars of Bartlesville (YSB) Executive Director (ED) will: Stay true to the mission of YSB to mentor and empower students to earn a college degree. Identify internal and external opportunities that will have a positive impact on the organization's strategic direction and accomplishments. Facilitate organization operations, including ensuring all processes are followed. Develop staff through training and coaching to follow the mission of YSB. Manage financial resources, including closely monitoring actual versus budgeted expenses and fundraising efforts. Establish and maintain relations of trust with shareholders, partners, and external authorities. Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the organization in ways that strengthen its profile. Devise remedial actions for any identified issues. Work closely with YSB Board members: Provide to Board Chair strategic information on daily operations, opportunities, policies, finances, and staff. Work with Board Chair to develop board meeting agendas, board development, and board retreats. Work with Finance Committee and Board Treasurer to present annual budget to board. Work with the Board Fundraising Committee to increase funds received over previous year's fundraising income through, but not limited to: YSB's signature fundraiser, Uncork Your Support, wine tasting event; and other fundraising opportunities Applying for grants Annual appeal letter Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field Proven experience as an executive director or in other managerial positions. Experience in developing strategies and plans. Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques. Strong understanding of finance and measures of performance. In-depth knowledge of governance principles and managerial best practices. An analytical mind capable of "out-of-the-box" thinking to solve problems. Skills Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. A holistic approach to managing the organization's operations.

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
