Executive Director Arkansas Broadcasters Association Little Rock, AR Job Details 22 hours ago Qualifications Management Newsletters (communication methods) Managing business operations budgets Full Job Description The Arkansas Broadcasters Association (ABA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as its Executive Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will advance the ABA's mission by supporting, advocating for, and promoting Arkansas radio and television broadcasters through government relations, member services, professional development, and industry outreach. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership, implement Board-directed priorities, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Association. Lead the Association's primary revenue initiative, the Public Education Partnership, by cultivating and managing client and partner relationships and sustaining ABA revenue. Lead legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels, and cultivate relationships with elected officials, regulators, and industry partners. Oversee member services, including recruitment, retention, educational programming, conferences, and communications such as newsletters, website content, social media, and press outreach. Collaborate closely with aligned stakeholders, including national and state broadcast associations and other strategic partners. Manage Association staff, contractors, budgets, and financial reporting, including preparation of the annual operating budget for Board review. Plan and execute annual events, professional development programs, and awards and recognition initiatives. Represent the ABA publicly and serve as the chief spokesperson on issues affecting Arkansas broadcasters. Qualifications Seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably within a media organization, trade association, or nonprofit organization. Strong knowledge of broadcast industry issues, media regulation, and public policy advocacy. Demonstrated success in fundraising, sponsorship development, and revenue generation. Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships. Demonstrated ability to manage staff, budgets, and complex projects effectively. A strong commitment to local media and to serving the broadcaster community in Arkansas. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of in-office and remote work.
