(c)(3) publiccharity founded in 2013. We partner with local leaders and community organizations to codesign, grow, and support sustainable development programs across Peru. Our programs focus on health, education, and environment as pathways to community transformation. We believe lasting change is achieved by building community resilience and strengthening local institutions. We work in close collaboration with trusted nonprofit partners, providing both funding and organizational capacity-building (training, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation). This ensures programs are participatory, culturally sensitive, and results-driven. Every project we support integrates gender equity, women's empowermenat, and climate change as cross-cutting themes. In 2025, we invested nearly $575,000 in programs that were implemented with 12 partners to directly improvethe lives of nearly 29,000 Peruvians. By the end of 2026 we expect to reach 38,000 direct beneficiaries through our programs. Position Summary Help Peru is seeking a mission-driven and highly capable Executive Director (ED) to lead the organization both in terms of fundraising and impact. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the ED will serve as Help Peru's chief executive, primary spokesperson and strategic leader. The ED is accountable for organizational performance across strategy execution and operations, fundraising and donorstewardship, financial oversight and compliance, and team leadership and program oversight in Peru. The ED will supervise two to three Peru-based employees and collaborate closely with Board leadership, committees, volunteers, donors, and partner organizations in Peru. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Board Partnership Serve as Help Peru's Executive Director and primary external representative. Partner closely with the Board of Directors and committees to develop and execute the strategic plan. Provide timely updates, dashboards, and reporting on operational, financial, fundraising, and program performance. Participate as an ex-officio member of Board and its committees. Fundraising & Donor Engagement Design and execute an annual fundraising strategy, including donor acquisition, retention and cultivation. Build relationships with major individual donors, corporate sponsors, and institutional funders. Lead the identification, application, and implementation of grant opportunities. Serve as primary point of contact for donors, ensuring strong stewardship and engagement year-round volunteers. Financial & Organizational Management Develop the annual budget in partnership with the Treasurer/Finance Committee and manage execution after Board approval. Ensure accurateand timely financial reporting through outsourced accounting partners. Ensure compliance with nonprofit governance requirements and donor-related documentation. Oversee systems and day-to-day operations including donation acknowledgment letters and administrative processes. Drive operational improvements and implement scalable processes appropriate to organizational growth. Programs & Partnerships (Peru) Oversee program development, implementation, and evaluation in partnership with local NGOs. Strengthen partner relationships, accountability, and results measurement. Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning practices to ensure impact and effective use of funds. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualities Full professional fluency in Englishand Spanish (writtenand spoken). Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit management, including a track record of securing major gifts and foundation grants. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with donors, Board members, and partners. Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Familiarity with foundation world; ability to tailor proposals and build relationships with program officers. High integrity, excellent judgment, discretion with confidential donor and organizational information. Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a remote environment. Experience with consensus-building and board relations. Flexibility, hands on approach, willingness to jump in as needed. Preferred Experience developing or scaling nonprofit operations, systems, and processes. Familiarity with Peru or international development contexts. Experience serving on a Board and/or reportingto a Board. Knowledge of CRM systems and email marketing platforms; experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Wordpress, Canva, Mailchimp, and Instrumentl for grant writing.
