Contract Job Summary NUCA of Florida (National Utility Contractors Association) is seeking a Part-Time Executive Director .
The ideal candidate must reside in the State of Florida and be available for occasional travel to meetings and events throughout the state. This is a part-time independent contractor (1099) position. The Executive Director will be responsible for supporting the association's operations, coordinating with local chapter Executive Directors, managing financial and administrative functions, organizing statewide events, and preparing reports and board materials. Financial Management Maintain all financial records of the association utilizing QuickBooks. Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis. Make timely deposits and process payment of expenses. Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables and collections as needed. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors. Coordinate annual financial reviews and the preparation of tax returns. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain association records and files. Prepare and distribute board meeting packets and supporting documentation. Update annual corporate filings and ensure compliance with state requirements. Assist with membership database management and reporting. Membership & Chapter Support Coordinate membership benefits and programs with local chapter Executive Directors. Support membership recruitment and retention initiatives. Serve as a liaison between the state association and local chapters. Event Coordination Plan and coordinate 4 statewide association events annually. Manage event logistics, registrations, sponsorships, and communications. Coordinate with venues, vendors, and volunteers to ensure successful events. Board & Committee Meetings Make all arranagements for quarterly board and committee meetings Prepare meeting agenda & meeting minutes Provide financial reports, agendas and all supporting documentation to BOD Be present at all board of director meetings Ensure board is abiding by ByLaws Qualifications Experience with QuickBooks and financial management. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with nonprofit, trade association, or membership-based organizations is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
