Job Description
The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) is a national, Jesuit-founded Catholic nonprofit organization that engages experienced adults (50+) in service to people experiencing poverty and marginalization. Through meaningful service, spiritual reflection, and community, IVC members deepen their faith, contribute their professional and life experience, and help build a more just society. The New England Regional Director leads and grows the IVC mission locally. This role reports to the National Vice President for Programs and Regional Development and works closely with the Regional Advisory Council to strengthen IVC's presence and impact across the region. This is a dynamic leadership role for someone who is energized by mission, relationship-building, and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities The Regional Director will: Recruit, place, and support IVC Service Corps Members in fee-based nonprofit partnerships Develop and strengthen relationships with nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable communities Lead regional program operations, including budgeting, financial management, and data oversight Direct fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, events, and local revenue development Oversee the spiritual program of the region, including monthly gatherings, retreats, and reflection opportunities in collaboration with facilitators and spiritual reflectors Partner with the Regional Advisory Council to advance recruitment, fundraising, and strategic priorities Build relationships within the local Catholic community. Raise IVC's visibility through outreach, public speaking, communications, and social media Collaborate with the National Office for marketing, awareness, training, reporting, shared strategy, and growth initiatives Foster a vibrant community rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and Ignatian spirituality Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring: Leadership experience in nonprofit, ministry, education, business, or related fields Familiarity with Marketing and Awareness Building Strong organizational and financial management skills Fundraising experience, including donor development and revenue goal management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Relationship-building strengths and the ability to work across diverse communities A commitment to social justice and solidarity with those who are marginalized Familiarity with Catholic Social Teaching and Ignatian spirituality (training provided if needed) Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with database systems Application Process Please submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references to: Becky Ehrman Vice President of Programs and Regional Development behrman@ivcusa.org Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
