Dispute Resolution Center Tri-Cities Executive Director Kennewick, Washington | Full-Time, Exempt
WHO WE ARE
The Dispute Resolution Center Tri-Cities (DRCTC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to resolve conflicts peacefully. Through mediation, conflict coaching, training, and education, we help people find common ground — because we believe every community member deserves access to fair, respectful conflict resolution. THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a visionary, community-minded Executive Director to lead the DRCTC into its next chapter. This is a rare opportunity to serve as both a strategic leader and a hands-on champion for one of the region's most vital conflict resolution resources. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and oversees all aspects of organizational leadership — including programs, finances, fundraising, staff, and community engagement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead operations, programs, and staff in alignment with the DRCTC mission and strategic goals
  • Manage the budget, grant compliance, and financial reporting
  • Drive fundraising — including grants, donor relationships, and community events
  • Represent the DRCTC publicly and build partnerships with courts, schools, local governments, and community organizations
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture for staff and volunteers
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors
  • Conduct Mediations as needed to support our Mediation Caseload Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in conflict resolution, public administration, nonprofit management, social sciences, law, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in nonprofit management, mediation services, human services, or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management, staff supervision, and program oversight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse community partners and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in conflict resolution, public administration, nonprofit leadership, law, or a related discipline.
  • Formal training or certification in mediation, ADR, or conflict resolution.
  • Experience working with Washington State Dispute Resolution Centers or similar community mediation programs.
  • Successful track record in grant writing, fundraising, and resource development.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are highly valued.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience, (65,000 to 85,000)
