Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operations Officer to support deposit and payments operations for a growing banking and consumer lending organization in Los Altos, CA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a banking operations professional who enjoys building strong processes, improving workflows, supporting compliance, and helping scale a high-performing operations function. The Operations Officer will play a hands-on role in managing payment operations, deposit processes, transaction settlement, exceptions, and internal controls. - Manage daily deposit and payment operations, including ACH, Fedwire, check clearing, card settlement, transaction processing, and related operational workflows.
- Design, document, and improve scalable banking operations processes that support growth, accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor transactions, exceptions, disputes, chargebacks, and settlement issues to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
- Partner with compliance, risk, treasury, technology, and internal business teams to strengthen controls, reduce risk, and support regulatory requirements.
- Train and support internal teams on operational procedures, payment systems, workflows, controls, and compliance expectations.
- Maintain audit readiness by supporting documentation, internal controls, risk reviews, and process evaluations. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $85,000 to $100,000 per year.
