Job Description
Manufacturing Quality Improvement work includes:
- Creating and implementing quality management programs focused on continuous improvement of manufacturing-related business systems from the customers' point of view
- Identifying and monitoring customer and employee feedback loops regarding the effectiveness of manufacturing-related business systems and processes
- Encouraging broad-based employee engagement to gather information and implement changes at every level in the organization; A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Responsibilities may include:
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Works with Continuous Improvement Lead (CI Lead) to set goals based on customer and business needs. Equips employees with the tools and knowledge to drive improvement throughout. Must be able to manage and interact effectively with diverse groups and personalities. Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must have strong written and presentation skills. Coordinates mapping of value streams in order to develop improvement targets. Directs continual improvement team efforts. Facilitates team meetings and kaizen events. Supports and positively drives 5S improvements. Provides training/education to associates at all levels. Consults with suppliers and customers as needed to achieve goals. Motivates and mentors' others in continuous improvement culture. Inspires a culture of change and improvement.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs, coaches, and empowers employees at all levels to solve problems and make improvements at their level.QUALIFICATIONS
