Job Description:
The Senior Decision Support Analyst is responsible for leading advanced analytical and cost accounting initiatives to support strategic decision-making within the healthcare system. This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving the integrity of the Strata Decision Support System (DSS), ensuring accurate cost data and reporting. The analyst collaborates to deliver insights into service line performance, cost efficiency, and resource utilization. This position also supports budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling processes, while serving as a technical and analytical resource for staff analysts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or related field required: Master's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare finance, accounting, cost accounting, or decision support required. Hands-on experience with Strata Decision Support System or similar EPM/Costing platforms strongly preferred. Solid understanding of hospital and physician cost accounting concepts and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of relational databases or data query tools (SQL, Power, BI, Tableau) is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision.
