Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement & Quality Manager will be responsible for upholding the overall quality of the inventory and processes performed in the NAM supply chain and logistics department. This position will play a key role in developing and sustaining a continuous improvement culture amongst all the logistics teams to ensure the operations are meeting customer demand in a timely and accurate manner. This position may involve handling of human tissue products.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Inventory Control & Quality Develop a team of inventory control and quality specialists who will ensure inventory movements are done accurately, processes and procedures are followed, and shipping errors are minimized Perform root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and collaborate with other logistics teams on how to implement long term solutions Organize and execute the annual inventory cycle count planning process in accordance with the corporate procedures Oversee the quality of the goods receipt, picking, packing and cycle counting processes to ensure material is entering and exiting the warehouse accurately and timely Utilize SAP to generate reports, analyze metrics and conduct investigations with regards to inventory quality Prepare the department and ensure readiness of operational audits that may occur in any and all logistics areas Serve as a key liaison between the Supply Chain & Logistics team and the Regulatory Affairs team to ensure there is alignment on overlapping quality commitments between departments Continuous Improvement Develop and maintain a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across all logistics teams and shifts Utilize SAP to analyze data, identify trends, and optimize process within the supply chain and logistics workflows Build KPI dashboards that are applicable to operational processes and outline areas of improvement Implement lean tools and methodology into the supply chain personnel and project plans (A3 thinking, PDCA, 5S visual management, 8 wastes, DMAIC, value add vs. nonvalue add, etc.) Coordinate with all logistics teams (US warehouse, CAN warehouse, supply chain, education logistics, returns, digital logistics) to structure projects and outline improvement needs Implement project management techniques and methodologies to drive transformative results throughout the department Drive high performance by collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, Data & Tech, Business Excellence, and Global E2E Supply Chain. Execute on cross-functional projects with focuses on efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer quality People Hire, supervise, schedule, and train Inventory Control team members across all shifts. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide training and development opportunities for team members Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to improve productivity and efficiency. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that aligns with company culture and values.
Management Responsibilities:
This position manages the following positions: Inventory Control & QA Supervisor (1), Inventory Control Team Lead (1), Inventory Control Specialists (3)
Physical Attributes:
May sit for extended periods of time. Utilize dexterity abilities to perform typing, operate a computer and other office equipment, to perform filing, and related job responsibilities and attention to detail competence. Spend significant time reading both on paper and on a computer. Traverse long distances through the building May travel up to 10%
Work Environment:
General office environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field 3+ years working in a logistics and/or manufacturing environment 3+ years of experience working with data analysis methods and tools 3+ years implementing Lean Six Sigma practices in operations environments 3+ years managing operations teams 3+ years of experience using robust project management tools, systems and implementation of large-scale projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical, organizational decision-making skills Lean six sigma green belt certified or higher Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels of business Superior presentation skills and good facilitation skills Experience in an FDA regulated facility or other similarly highly regulated facility Experience with SAP systems Experience with Automated systems like Robots, Conveyor systems & other Material Handling solutions
Salary:
$97,000
  • $112,000/Annually.
The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.
