JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer III to optimize and enhance molding processes at Jabil Inc. This role involves improving process efficiency, ensuring robust process control, and leveraging strong technical knowledge to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and optimize molding processes to achieve desired product quality, yield, and efficiency targets. Design and execute experiments for process characterization, optimization, and troubleshooting. Establish and maintain robust process control systems, including statistical process control (SPC) and other monitoring techniques. Lead and participate in process improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Provide technical expertise and support to production teams, including training and troubleshooting. Collaborate with R D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to facilitate new product introductions and process transfers. Document process specifications, operating procedures, and technical reports. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in molding processes.
EDUCATION AND MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's/Associates degree in Engineering and/or RJG certifications preferred 5+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on molding processes. Demonstrated expertise in molding process development, optimization, and troubleshooting. Proven ability to implement and manage effective process control systems. Strong track record of leading and contributing to successful process improvements. Excellent technical knowledge of materials science, polymer processing, and manufacturing principles. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for process evaluation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience
