Job Description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Multi-Disciplined Scientist III to support advanced optimization, simulation, and operational analytics initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced quantitative professional with a strong background in operations research, industrial engineering, mathematical modeling, and Python-based analytics.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline required. Master's degree preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement optimization, simulation, and cost models using linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and discrete-event simulation techniques Analyze production planning, logistics, process flow, and resource allocation scenarios to identify operational improvements Collect, clean, and analyze operational data to support modeling and decision-making efforts Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Support deployment and production implementation of analytical and optimization tools Document methodologies, assumptions, and modeling results for knowledge sharing and best practices Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience applying operations research or industrial engineering methodologies in business or engineering environments Strong experience with optimization solvers such as CPLEX, Gurobi, or Pyomo+GLPK Experience with simulation tools including AnyLogic, SimPy, or similar platforms Advanced Python programming and data analysis skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with workflow automation, data visualization, or data preparation tools Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or commercial analytics environments Additional Information No third party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
