Job Description

Job Purpose:
BTIG is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its SPAC Investment Banking and Capital Markets team in New York. Our investment banking practice at BTIG encompasses a wide variety of services, including public and private offerings, convertible debt offerings and M&A advisory assignments. This position would require the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with primary responsibilities for the day-to-day management of ongoing assignments, the development of materials for board level discussions, and new business generation. BTIG offers a unique environment which combines a highly entrepreneurial platform focused on growth companies with the analytical rigor and transaction experience of "bulge bracket" investment banks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Interact with corporate clients, investors, and senior bankers independently with minimal oversight
  • Assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships
  • Identifying new business opportunities and developing tailored recommendations for clients
  • Perform product / market research and various analyses in support of new business generation
  • Provide analytical and execution support on capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory projects
  • Preparation of offering memoranda, proposals and other written materials for meetings with clients
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of investment banking experience, with SPAC experience required
  • Ability to comfortably interact with business clients and management
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations
  • A strong work ethic, detail orientation and a passion for excellence
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized, proactive, energetic and decisive, with high level of integrity
  • The ability to excel in both team and self-directed settings
  • Must have FINRA Series 63 & 79 licenses

Compensation:
BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs. The current estimated base salary range for this role is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
