Job Description We are looking for a candidate to fill a Sr.
Analyst / Associate
position in our Debt Private Placements Group based in New York. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a new and growing team led by an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience across private credit, hedge funds and investment banking. The recently launched Debt Private Placements Group will partner with Oppenheimer's Industry Coverage bankers to raise capital for the firm's investment banking clients via the private credit market across all sectors and credit asset classes. The position will serve as a critical member of the team, working directly with the Head of the Debt Private Placements and other senior professionals, as well as cross-functional Managing Directors, Executive Directors, and sector banking teams of all levels on pitches and engagements. The successful candidate will be given significant responsibility in transaction execution.
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day transaction execution under direction of the Head of the Debt Private Placements Group Lead pitch drafting as well as transaction marketing documents Preparing and reviewing complex financial analyses and models Presenting materials internally to senior bankers and externally to clients of the firm Expand and develop client relationships with key institutional investors Liaise with both internal and external parties to expand corporate relationships and drive day-to-day deal process Develop an in-depth understanding of our sectors Analyze and present deal data for senior level management teams and corporate issuers Support new business and marketing initiatives as appropriate Demonstrate a commitment to the group's success on new opportunities, mandates and overall growth
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Leveraged Finance, or similar roles Strong Microsoft Office skills essential Strong verbal and written communication skills Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product Ability to work independently as well as within a team Organized and proactive
FINRA Registrations:
Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter
Compensation:
For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
