Job Description

Investment Banking Associate Our client, a well‑established boutique investment bank headquartered in Cleveland, is seeking a talented Investment Banking Associate to join its expanding team. This is a strong opportunity for a driven professional to gain meaningful transaction experience, assume significant responsibility, and work closely with senior bankers in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Role Overview The Investment Banking Associate will be a key contributor to the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions across multiple sectors. Associates at the firm participate in every stage of the deal lifecycle supporting initial pitches, leading analytical work streams, interfacing with clients, and helping drive transactions to close. This position provides high visibility, direct client interaction, and a clear path for advancement within a lean, high‑performing platform. Key Responsibilities Support execution of M&A (sell‑side and buy‑side) and capital raising transactions Build and review detailed financial models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) Prepare client deliverables including pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, and board materials Conduct valuation analysis, financial review, industry research, and company diligence Coordinate due diligence processes with clients, buyers, investors, and third‑party advisors Assist in drafting transaction documents and maintaining data rooms Partner with senior bankers to develop strategic insights and recommendations Provide guidance and review analytical work of Analysts as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a top academic institution with strong academic performance 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or related fields Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously Demonstrated work ethic, maturity, and sound judgement Interest in working within a highly visible, boutique environment Compensation The firm offers a competitive package including base salary, discretionary bonus, and profit‑sharing.
