Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a highly analytical and self-driven Business Operations Analyst to provide comprehensive support across budgeting, processes, systems, and administrative programs within the work unit. This is a contract role based in Detroit, MI, operating in a hybrid work model. This role requires the ability to work independently, assess complex issues, and recommend effective solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project plans, identify required resources, and ensure timely completion of tasks. Independently analyze issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions. Lead major projects, facilitate meetings, and provide informal leadership and guidance to team members. Conduct complex analyses using system tools, including statistical, trend, and root cause analysis. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to reporting systems and operational processes. Prepare detailed reports and present findings and actionable recommendations to management. Review budget variances, identify discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are taken. Coordinate and support process improvement initiatives across field operations. Serve as a liaison between departments for reporting, data requests, and information sharing. Take customer calls, provide assistance, and schedule appointments as needed. Handle and safeguard highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Business Administration/Management, Computer Science, or Information Technology). Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Minimum of 4 years of strong customer service experience. Proven ability to review budget variances and identify and correct errors. Ability to manage customer interactions professionally, including handling calls and scheduling appointments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in operations, business analysis, or program administration. Familiarity with budgeting processes and reporting systems. Experience leading projects and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
